About the position
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated individual to join our forward thinking Cyber Strategy and Partnerships Portfolio within the Cyber Security Division! 

Reporting to the Assistant Director Resiliency Partnerships, you will work with financial sector stakeholders (government partners, private sector) and internal stakeholders across the Bank of Canada to implement the priorities and workplan of the G7 Cyber Expert Group (CEG) as part of Canada’s G7 Presidency in 2025.   

 

As a part of the team, you will have the full support of your leader to enhance your skills, experiment, learn and strive in a constantly evolving environment. 

What you will do
You will be a member of the Program Delivery Office (PDO) to support Canada’s G7 Presidency,  and will execute on the deliverables of the G7 CEG on behalf of the Bank. 

 

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead cross-border discussions and facilitate knowledge sharing between government agencies, G7 nations, and private sector stakeholders on G7 CEG initiatives. 
  • Prepare briefing materials, including intervention points, and deliver presentations and status reports to senior management and external stakeholders. 
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with domestic and international stakeholders. 
  • What you need to succeed 
  • Highly skilled at developing and maintaining effective and collaborative cross-border stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills and developing artifacts such as project plans, action logs, and status reports. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications with external stakeholders, and reporting to senior leadership audiences.

 

Nice-to-have 

  • Expertise in coordinating domestic and international security initiatives, ensuring alignment and cooperation across stakeholders  
  • Experience in developing cybersecurity policies and frameworks that support cross-border collaboration
  • Experience working on project committees of G7 Cyber Experts Group, Canadian Financial Sector Resiliency Group (CFRG) and/or Resiliency of Wholesale Payments System (RWPS). 

 

Your education and experience 
Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the competencies and skills for the position. We are ideally seeking candidates with a degree/diploma in a relevant field of study (cyber security, international relations, public policy, business administration, information systems, risk management, etc.) and 7+ years of relevant experience. 

 

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Secret 
  • There will be no relocation assistance provided

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $4,173 to $4,909 (bi-weekly) (job grade 17)
