Job Description

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting Checkout.com's information security initiatives, helping to safeguard our digital assets against threats. Working closely with the InfoSec team, you will assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks while supporting the implementation of policies that align with our security strategy. You’ll also work with cross-functional teams to uphold security protocols, improve our overall security posture, and help drive a culture of security awareness.

How you'll make impact:
Threat Monitoring and Analysis: Conduct regular monitoring and analysis of information
systems to detect potential security breaches and vulnerabilities, responding promptly to alerts and escalating issues as necessary.
Technology Risk and Control Assessment: Assist in conducting regular assessment of
technology risk, focusing on identifying and evaluating potential security threats and vulnerabilities within Checkout’s technology environment. Conduct control assessments to determine the effectiveness of existing security controls in mitigating identified risks.
Third Party Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments for third-party vendors,
evaluating their security controls and compliance posture. Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure security requirements are met in vendor agreements.
Policy Development and Compliance: Assist in developing, updating and enforcing
security policies, standards, and guidelines. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, PCI DSS and ISO 27001.

Audit Management: Support internal and external audits and support regulatory
initiatives. Collaborate with various internal teams to address audit requirements and facilitate audit readiness.
Incident Response Support: Participate in incident response activities by helping to
contain and resolve security incidents, documenting findings, and suggesting improvements to prevent future occurrences.
Security Awareness: Contribute to ongoing security awareness efforts by working with
internal teams to foster a culture of security mindfulness, assisting in training sessions and developing educational materials.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation related to compliance and security operations, providing regular reports to the InfoSec team and other stakeholders as required.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in Information Security or a similar role
  • Basic understanding of key InfoSec concepts, including risk assessment, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as SOC2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and basic access control principles.
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, ideally with some experience in environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
