Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Security Specialist to join our security team. This role includes responsibilities as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), where you will assist in maintaining compliance with government security regulations and ensure the protection of classified information. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of security, with a focus on managing and improving organizational security policies and practices. Active Top Secret clearance or TS/SCI required.
Hours: 7am–4pm or 6am–3pm with one Saturday every other month 6am-12:00pm ( 6 hours ) paid overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) Duties
  • Administer and maintain the company’s security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee and manage personnel security clearances using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and other government databases.
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training for employees regarding their roles and responsibilities under the security program.
  • Physical and Information Security
  • Monitor and enforce facility access control procedures.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining physical security plans, including managing security equipment (e.g., badge systems, alarm systems).
  • Support the secure handling, storage, and transmission of classified materials.
  • Compliance and Audits
  • Prepare for and participate in government security audits and inspections.
  • Conduct internal security self-inspections and ensure timely resolution of findings.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Incident Response and Reporting
  • Investigate and report security incidents, violations, or suspicious activities.
  • Implement corrective actions to address security vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Serve as a liaison with government agencies, such as the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
  • Work closely with internal departments to support security compliance and initiatives.
