THE JOB:
In partnership with the Chief of Security, the Director of Security is responsible for the direction and oversight of all security functions. This position ensures the effective and efficient operation of the Security Department to maximize the safety and protection of employees and guests, enabling the highest guest and employee engagement and profitability goals. The Director of Security will oversee major event coordination, special projects, and security risk and threat analysis, including overall security concerns for all large events held on the property.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Directs the day-to-day security operations to include staffing, training, event management, incident response, and administration.

  • Evaluate ongoing security operations training to include standard operating procedures, preliminary investigations, emergency procedures, management, fire and life safety training, and guest service, implementing changes to procedures and policies to close service and operational gaps.

  • Ensure compliance with MGMRI policies, and federal, state, and local laws, and effectively communicate policy and procedure changes to property and security operations to maintain compliance.

  • Ensure the property or venues, and other areas of responsibility are patrolled consistently including managing a fleet of resources, overseeing the property security operations programs such as the Lost and Found program, and monitoring all areas of the property to consistently ensure preventative measures are enforced.

  • Assists the COS with critical threat identification, intelligence gathering, and analysis at a property level, monitoring incidents and accessing information to determine what impact those incidents may have on the company, employees, customers, and facilities.

  • Build and develop highly effective teams through recruiting, training/certification programs, coaching, performance reviews, and professional development. Identify and implement security industry personnel best practices, methods, and equipment to meet and/ or exceed performance requirements and standards.

  • Strategies with key internal stakeholders in cross-functional CoEs to develop both short-term and long-term solutions to create unique guest experiences


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 4+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Hotel Security, Law Enforcement, and or Military

  • Have an understanding of gaming and gaming regulations

  • Proven leadership skills, strategic thinking, and critical decision making

  • Ability to deescalate situations, both verbally and physically, in potentially violent situations

Pay Range:

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum - Maximum

$114,800.00 - $191,400.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.
