Data Security Analyst

What success looks like in this role:

The Data Security Analyst is accountable for the overall management of data security within the Unisys Philippines Payments business. Data
security analysts must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of computer and network security, including such areas as firewall
administration, encryption technologies and network protocols.
Analysts need strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment and self motivation.
The role requires that analyst keeps abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government
regulations and makes recommendations to the business for the continued minimization of threats and risks.
The role requires relationship management with the client and internal teams connected to the delivery of outsourcing services.
Audit and Risk Management
• Perform security audits, risk assessments and analysis
• Review and participate in external audits (by the client) and prepare responses and recommendations to management
• Research attempted breaches of data security and rectify security weaknesses
• Formulate security policies and procedures
• Monitor and report on the technology threat landscape
• Assist with threat and vulnerability assessments for appropriate threat mitigation
• Identify emerging threat actors and track existing actors as their tactics, techniques and procedures evolve. Collaborate with other information security and IT team members to develop and implement innovative strategies for monitoring and preventing attacks

System Improvements
• Make recommendations for enhancing data systems security
• Pro-active asset management – management of all assets to ensure fully supported and maintained.
• Participates in technology remediation efforts through cross functional working teams and across business units
• Management of the end of life process and also the refresh of infrastructure (if required)
• Ownership of infrastructure solutions and sizing (when required)
• Assist Network management team with support and management
System Monitoring
• Conduct proactive monitoring, logging and alerting to analyze, correlate, and respond to cyber incidents
• Identify intrusion activity by leveraging available alert data
• Perform live incident response (reactive and proactive incident management) in support of IR functionality
BCP / DR
• A key participant in the Business Continuity team.
• Assist in BCP / DR planning, testing and execution particularly as it pertains to Data Security

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional level work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• 3+ years Data Security Analyst experience
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Advanced in championing change and innovation.
• Clear thought processing that aligns with Unisys intelligence methodology
• Strong organization skills
• Strong project and time management skills
• Understanding of computer protocols (such as TCP/IP, HTTP & SSL).
Sound judgment and analytical skills, strong organizational and communication skills are paramount for the successful
candidate
• Understanding of common security threats, issues & risks
• Proven ability to build internal relationships.
