Job Title: Network and Server Security Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network and Server Security Administrator to maintain and support secure configurations of our IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry security standards and benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both networking and server technologies, along with strong experience in security protocols and remediation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Security:
  • Maintain and support secure configurations for networking technologies such as Cisco and Palo Alto switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, DNS, and load balancers.
  • Collaborate with network teams to ensure best practices for network security, including firewall rule updates, secure routing configurations, and secure access management.
• Server and OS Security:
  • Manage secure configurations for various server and OS technologies including Microsoft Windows Server (2008-2022), RedHat Enterprise, VMware, IBM AIX, and Linux environments.
  • Implement and maintain security patches, hardening procedures, and configurations to protect server infrastructure from vulnerabilities.
• Compliance and Benchmarking:
  • Interpret and apply CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) to ensure systems meet compliance standards.
  • Stay informed about the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and Common Vulnerability Enumeration (CVE) to identify and address potential security risks.
• Vulnerability Management:
  • Support vulnerability remediation efforts by identifying gaps in the current environment and creating action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Leverage vulnerability scan results to prioritize and operationalize security improvements.
• Reporting and Monitoring:
  • Utilize tools like ServiceNow and Archer to document, track, and monitor security issues related to networking and server technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in securing networking technologies, particularly Cisco and Palo Alto.
• Strong experience in securing server technologies across Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and IBM AIX platforms.
• Hands-on experience with industry security standards, including CIS Benchmarks and DISA STIGs.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management frameworks like NVD and CVE.
• Proficiency with tools like ServiceNow and Archer for security issue tracking and management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create actionable remediation plans.
