DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Perform vulnerability testing, risk analysis, and security assessments. Ensure that identified issues are prioritized and addressed in an appropriate timeframe. Work with the external security community (e.g. bug bounty program) regarding security vulnerabilities and threats. Work with and advise engineering teams to develop secure applications and services through design, development, and implementation of secure software development practices. Research emerging technologies and maintain awareness of current security risks. Support of security enhancement and development. Develop security training and education for software engineers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Web application Vulnerabilities; Threat Modeling; designing secure architecture; Secure Software Development Lifecycle; Application security testing tools; Static Code; Open Source, Dynamic Testing; and Application Penetration Testing and Network Penetration testing.
Job Location: 3223 Hanover, Palo Alto, CA 94304. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $285,000 - $285,000 per year.
