Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses depends on unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based on qualifications and assigned teaching load.

Arizona State University (ASU) offers an online Professional Science Master in Forensic Science (PSMFS) designed to help students advance their careers in forensic science, law enforcement, and medicolegal sectors. Essential Functions of the Position: 

  • Teach courses in relevant areas, in-person, online, hybrid, or a combination thereof;
  • Hold office hours to support students.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD or a Master's degree in Forensic Science with significant professional experience or a related field, at the time of hire. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Two (2) years of teaching experience;
  • Experience in online and/or in-person instruction;
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with students from a wide variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including first-generation college students;
  • Evidence of teaching excellence e.g., student evaluations, syllabi, peer observation, annual evaluations, etc.

Teaching/Student evaluations may be required at the time of interview.
