The Data Privacy Manager will report to the Chief Compliance Officer.  The Data Privacy Manager will be responsible for the development, creation, maintenance, and enforcement of the privacy policies and procedures of an organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s data privacy policies and practices to safeguard personal data and ensure the privacy rights of individuals are respected. The Data Privacy Manager builds a strategic and comprehensive privacy program for the organization that minimizes risk and ensures the confidentiality of protected information.  They also exercise significant discretion in these tasks and performs these tasks consistent with the company’s Values.

Responsibilities include:
•    Create and maintain data privacy policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards.
•    Identify potential data privacy risks and develop mitigation strategies to address the risks;
•    Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the GDPR, including developing templates for data collection, assisting with data mapping, and vendor management reviews;
•    Compile and maintain a listing of all applications that are in use by Integra Employees and understand the data that is being stored, accessed, and reported within the systems.  
•    Develop and implement procedures to ensure data is properly classified in our systems for tracking and risk mitigation;
•    Collaborating with Information Systems, Human Resources, and Legal to ensure a unified approach to data privacy.
•    Act as the primary point of contact for the data protection authorities and other regulatory bodies;
•    Ensuring Integra’s Information Systems and procedures comply with all relevant data privacy and protection law, regulation and policy (including in relation to the retention and destruction of data).  
•    Working with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and related data to ensure compliance with local data privacy laws, and where necessary, complete and advise on privacy impact assessment;
•    Managing and conducting ongoing reviews of Integra’s privacy governance framework;
•    Developing and delivering privacy training to various business functions;
•    Coordinating and conducting data privacy audits;
•    Monitoring changes to local privacy laws and making recommendations to the Chief Compliance Officer when appropriate;
•    Collaborating with the Information Security function(s) and Human Resources to raise employee awareness of data privacy and security issues, and providing training on the subject matter;
•    Provide reports to management on the status of data privacy compliance and initiatives.
 

Requirements include:
•    Strong knowledge of EU data privacy and data protection regulation, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide;

•    Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills, including skills in drafting procedures and processes as well as negotiation skills;
•    Work cross-functionally with Information Systems, Legal, and Business counterparts to review and assess data privacy risks and processes;

•    Sufficient knowledge of information technology and data management systems required;

•    Strong change and project management skills, including the ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines;

•    Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with healthcare professionals and/or medical scientific professionals on a regular basis, including demanding and forceful personalities; 

•    Ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solution;

•    Remains calm and focused in pressure situations;

•    Self-starter; highly motivated and ambitious; 
•    Sound judgment combined with comfort and willingness to make decisions;
•    Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams and effectively solve problems;
•    Comfort with dynamic change necessary to drive or support continuous improvements within the compliance department and for other internal clients;
•    Willingness and capability to represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other business associates of Integra LifeSciences;
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced skills with Power BI, Excel, and Cognos;
•    Possesses at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in a corporate compliance function; experience with healthcare compliance and the U.S. Physician Payment Sunshine Act and other transparency laws preferred.
•    College degree; degree in Finance, Information Services, preferred.

Additional details:

This role is hybrid between Princeton, NJ and remote. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
