The Senior Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's cybersecurity infrastructure. The Senior Cyber Security Specialist will work closely with other members of the IT team to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective strategies to mitigate risks and protect against cyber threats. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement cybersecurity strategies and solutions to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. 
  • Monitor and analyze security logs and reports to identify potential threats and develop effective countermeasures. 
  • Work with other members of the IT team to ensure that cybersecurity protocols are integrated into all areas of the organization. 
  • Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to mitigate risks. 
  • Develop and implement incident response plans to ensure that the organization is prepared to respond to cyber threats. 
  • Provide guidance and training to other members of the IT team to ensure that cybersecurity best practices are followed. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies and provide recommendations for improvements to our security infrastructure. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field and 10+ years experience or 15+ years IT and Cyber Security related experience. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, preferably in cybersecurity, with a focus on designing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and solutions. 
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, data encryption, and threat detection. 
  • Experience with security assessment tools, including vulnerability scanners and penetration testing tools. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other members of the IT team and stakeholders. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of cybersecurity professionals. 
  • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as NIST 800 series, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR is a plus. 
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
