Office/Security Administrator

KBR is seeking a skilled Office/Security Administrator to support military training events and exercises for the Army’s Joint Training Program – Air and Missile Defense (JTP-AMD) Simulation Center.  The JTP-AMD SIM Center is a government facility located at Fort Bliss, Texas, with simulation requirements that span multiple theaters abroad and other government facilities/locations within the US.

Physical security responsibilities will include the enforcement of all security policies and procedures and continuous monitoring of personnel access to ensure all security measures are always in full compliance.  Physical security tasks may include, but are not limited to verification of security clearances, activating and deactivating physical alarms, escorting personnel when needed, acting as a courier of classified information and documents, conducting inventories, perform shipping and receiving, maintain various logs and other information to track personnel access and equipment controls, and conduct briefings when required.

Typical duties and responsibilities include the performance of office and administrative tasks such as keeping records of training, updating event calendar, scheduling facility maintenance, monitor billing and accounts payable for facility operations, and controlling facility access and physical security operations.

This position requires the ability to interact with customers within the US Government and other external agencies.  In addition, the applicant must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a security background check as necessary to obtain an active US SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / FUNCTIONS:

  • Office administration.
  • Write reports, briefings, and document policy changes when needed.
  • Monitor and execute accounts payable for office supplies and facility billing.
  • Control physical access to a secure government facility.
  • Maintain security logs and perform badging of government and civilian personnel.
  • Verify and maintain records related to the status of government and civilian security clearances.
  • Support security tasks specific to current Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Manage and maintain control of keys and combinations to secure facilities.
  • Support configuration management tasks for various information systems and network devices.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard information systems and sensitive data.
  • Perform tasks specific to shipping items via government and commercial agencies.
  • Interact with government customers and perform functions as part of a technical support team.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computer systems and be able to create/modify documents using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change with business needs or requirements, and new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a security background check as necessary to obtain an active US SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
  • Education: must have a bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
  • Experience: must meet the following qualifications for experience.
    • Three (3) years of office administrative and/or physical security experience (minimum) with a bachelor’s degree or,
    • 8 years of additional work experience in office administrative and/or physical security in lieu of the bachelor’s degree.
