Chief of Staff to CFO

The Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, serving as a strategic partner and operational leader. This role is designed for a forward-thinking professional with expertise in Corporate Development and Strategic Finance. The Chief of Staff will collaborate closely with the CFO to drive financial strategy, execute corporate development initiatives, and optimize operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision. 

Key Responsibilities:
 

Operational Efficiency 

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the finance department. 

• Project Management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. 

• Team Coordination: Foster a collaborative environment within the finance team, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. 
  

Corporate Development 

• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's long-term objectives. 

• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities and risks. 

• Mergers and Acquisitions: Support the CFO in identifying, evaluating, and executing M&A opportunities, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration processes. 

• Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships to foster business development and expansion. 

Strategic Finance 

• Financial Strategy: Assist the CFO in developing and implementing the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. 

• Financial Analysis: collaborate with FPA to conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost management, and investment business cases. 

• Reporting: Gather external reports to understand market, peer and competitor trends, metrics and efficiencies. 

Qualifications: 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 

• Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, or similar roles, with a proven track record of executing high-impact initiatives. 

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and market research methodologies. 

• Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives. 

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders. 

• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex challenges and propose innovative solutions.
