The Job and the Team
Your main responsibilities as an IT Security Analyst will focus on Threat Intelligence including the maintenance and expansion of the corresponding TI infrastructure (tools, processes, etc.) as well as the provision and maintenance of the SOC operations in the defined periods (currently Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 CET). This includes, among other things, the maintenance and optimization of physical, technical, and logical/administrative security mechanisms and controls, as well as the maintenance and continuous improvement of the IT security infrastructure.

You will perform a wide range of tasks that also includes analyzing IT environments and identifying the current threat situation (including vulnerability scans, penetration tests, threat intelligence/threat hunting, malware detection and endpoint protection).

Other tasks include identifying various attack vectors and supporting the implementation of appropriate solutions, analyzing and investigating attacks and security-related incidents, designing, creating and improving security architectures in collaboration with other IT teams, providing advice and support in all security-related matters, proactive monitoring and log file analysis, investigation of phishing emails and provision of user feedback, security-related advice and awareness raising, auditing and optimization of the software and security solutions used.

The team of 15 is spread over our Amsterdam office, our offices in Germany and in Sofia. You will work closely with other teams (e.g., information security, IT risk, network and server teams, developers, etc.) to continuously improve the overall security of the organization and to ensure that security is implemented in all relevant areas from the outset as an integral part of process and system design. Main tasks

• Threat Intelligence related tasks
• Development and implementation of efficient Threat Intelligence strategies.
• Maintenance and expansion of the tooling related to Threat Intelligence.
• Developing the Threat Intelligence goals.
• Hunting for potentially new threats
• Typical tasks of an SOC analyst, such as identifying and evaluating threats and attack techniques, proactive monitoring of dashboards and alerts, log file analysis, classification, analysis and, if necessary, escalation of incidents, creation of daily and weekly reports, creation, and documentation of KPIs.
• Operational support for technical security events
• Investigation of security incidents

Professional requirements

• Degree in IT security/computer science, or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrable experience and passion for threat intelligence
• Understanding of threat scenarios, priorities, and attack vectors
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent way of working
• Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Occasional travel required.
