We are currently recruiting for a full-time Cloud Security Engineering Lead to be part of our Threat & Vulnerability Management team within Cybersecurity. This role will lead the Cloud Security function and work with cross functional teams to enable cloud security capabilities to protect Interac.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Lead Cloud Security function at Interac in alignment with product and business objectives

• Partner with cloud and infrastructure engineers and leaders to build and maintain a cloud security technical strategy and long-term vision of securing cloud environments

• Design, build, and maintain tooling, software, and systems for securing cloud environments in a way that makes it easier for developers to protect their applications

• Work with cross-functional partners to define and implement best security solutions for cloud, reducing unnecessary friction while maintaining high code development velocity

• Apply threat-informed defenses using cloud security controls via collaboration with other cybersecurity functions

• Automate the development and maintenance of security controls using Infrastructure as Code practices

• Deploy and manage policy-as-code solutions to enforce compliance against applicable security and industry policies in CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments

• Model threats that will impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data within cloud environments; implement improvements to close gaps in the security stack

• Provide expert-level support for large scale or complex security incidents

You bring:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or cloud security engineering

• Excellent communicator, comfortable with discussing complex technical concepts with engineers or leaders.

• Outcomes driven, the ability to figure-it-out to reach the desired outcome 

• Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level

• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail

• An understanding of technical concepts and are an avid learner of new technology

• Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their native security and identity management (IAM) capabilities

• Experience with developing and implementing automation and security capabilities on cloud platforms

• Experience with administering Cloud security tools like CSPM, CWPP, SSPM, CNAPP, etc.

• Highly proficient in programming languages like Python and Java, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes + OpenShift

• Knowledge of general cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and respective mitigation strategies

• Ability to translate technical and compliance requirements into engineering roadmap and execution

• Experience with general SIEM, SOAR, IPS/IDS, VM, EDR, etc. security tools

• Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices such as OWASP, ISO 27001/2, NIST

• Cybersecurity certificates such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM and/or technical certificates such as AWS Certified Specialty – Security, or Azure Security Engineer
