Profile Summary

  • A dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll and Compliance professional with extensive experience in managing payroll processes and statutory compliance for India-based operations. Adept at handling diverse payroll platforms, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate financial records. Proficient in benefits administration, deduction management, and possessing foundational knowledge of accounting principles. Skilled at working independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating a proactive approach to resolving issues and ensuring process efficiency. Committed to delivering accurate, timely payroll solutions and supporting organizational objectives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Awareness on information security measures such as acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, password security
  • Understand and report security risks and how they impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand how data is stored, processed, or transmitted from a Data privacy and protection standpoint

Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee India payroll processes, including tax rules and compliance with Indian tax systems. 
  • Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, Talent & Culture, Finance, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data. 
  • Manage employee benefits such as insurance policies, term insurance, meal card programs (e.g., Sodexo), car lease options, and flexible benefits plans. 
  • Ensures timely and accurate responses to any employee payroll concerns or inquiries.  Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of employee data into HRMS tools. 
  • Responsible for timely filing of various statutory compliances in collaboration with consultants.  
  • Maintain strong expertise in HR audits, labour laws, and statutory requirements, including PF, Gratuity, and other key regulations.  
  • Generates and creates ad-hoc reports.
  • Assists with year-end and compliance reporting.
  • Maintains and files documentation, creates internal company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with sensitive data and has a strict understanding of privacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Master's degree in Business Administration/Human Resources required.
  • Minimum 7 years in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions.
  • Extremely strong Excel skills and strong MS Word, Outlook, and Share point skills; NetSuite/OpenAir experience a plus. 
  • Extensive experience in HR audits, labour laws, and statutory compliances.
  • Strong knowledge of India Payroll, tax rules, and salary structures.  
  • Proficiency in HRMS tools, preferably Darwin Box. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. 
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. 
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, meet all deadlines, and is extremely dependable.
