Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support IT system and service requirements on multiple classification enclaves up to TS/SCI levels as well as coalition and mission partner environment (MPE) enclaves
  • Troubleshoot operating system and application faults and errors.
  • Manage and optimize physical and virtual system resources (compute, storage, network) and report performance trends for growth planning and life cycle replacement.
  • Create and distribute operating system images for physical machines, virtual servers, virtual desktop infrastructure and standalone laptop PCs.
  • Install, configure, and manage baseline operating systems and supported applications.
  • Implement DoD Risk Management Framework and perform continuous security assessments of IT environment as required.
  • Perform media protection in accordance with DOD security policies.
  • Interface with Information System Security Managers and Officers in support all applicable IT security policies and procedures. 
  • Resolve IT related Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and remediate software vulnerabilities via security patching, and specialized software configurations.
  • Evaluate and support troubleshooting of network problems with DNS, DHCP, Exchange Transport, 802.1x.
  • Deploy and implement solutions supporting Comply to Connect (C2C) requirements and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
  • Create IT system solutions for technology refresh and gain customer buy in to support IT system development and life cycle activities.
  • Drive modernization requirements in accordance with DoD initiatives (i.e. C2C, ZTA, DoD Cloud Strategy, DevSecOps, AI/ML)
  • Engage Engineering teams by proactively managing transition requirements from Architecture/Development to Operations
  • Manage all tasks to ensure mission operations are maintained in conjunction with DoD compliance requirements.
  • Develop IT operating procedures, techniques, and baseline configuration guides. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 or more years of relevant IT experience. 
  • BS (CIS or another computer technical degree) or equivalent experience
  • Top-Secret clearance required with SCI or SCI eligibility.
  • Expert technical knowledge of Window/Linux Operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of DoD RMF process, STIG implementation and POA&M management
  • DoD 8570 Level IAT II compliant certification 
  • Computing Environment Certification
