Title and Summary

Senior Software Engineer (DevOps, Splunk, PRTG, Chef/Ansible, Terraform)

Ideal Candidate expectations:
- Has experience with managing DevOps tools/technologies and has a solid understand of DevOps principles and best practices
- Has clear understanding of DevOps stages/life cycle like CI/CD, continuous monitoring and continuous testing
- Has hands-on experience working with Linux platform
- Has good knowledge in containerization and associated technologies, like Docker
- Has good knowledge on configuration management tools like Chef and Ansible
- Has good experience with automation scripts like Shell, Bash, YAML, Groovy, PowerShell etc.
- Must be good at automation and configuration management, deployment, logging and monitoring practices for high availability
- Has knowledge on tools like Splunk, Prometheus, PRTG or other similar logging and monitoring tools
- Must be detail-oriented, proactive, has effective communication skills (both verbal and written), and posses collaborative and organizational skills

As a member of our Core DevOps Services team, you will be responsible for building tools and systems that deploy and scale our applications and data in hybrid - cloud and physical - environments. We develop the infrastructure that enables the Services Technology team to build, test, deploy and host hundreds of microservices across several global datacenters. We also develop the logging, monitoring and vulnerability detection tools necessary for application developers to get insight into the security, quality and uptime of their code. Our systems are administered with infrastructure-as-code with our stack including Chef, Ansible and Terraform and our workflows are automated using Jenkins and Kubernetes. Engineers work in small, flexible teams. Every team member contributes to designing, building, and testing features. There are no rigid organizational structures, and each team uses processes that work the best for that team members and projects.
