About the Compliance FunctionTrustly Group AB’s second line of defense consists of the Compliance Function, Risk Function and the Chief Information Security Officer. The position is within the Compliance team which consists of three Compliance Officers excluding the position now being hired. The Function is led by the Chief Compliance Officer which gives the function a total of five FTE’s.
About the roleWe are looking for a Data Protection Officer / Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team in Trustly Group AB. As a DPO / CO you will report to Trustly’s Chief Compliance Officer and be based in the Stockholm office. Your day-to-day work will include normal DPO and compliance tasks such as advice and support, performing controls, hold training etc as well as a wide area of other tasks in order to ensure the function is executing the annual plan, addressing ad hoc issues etc in the most efficient manner. You will be part of a team of five covering Trustly’s Swedish operations. Trustly’s company language is English.

What you’ll do:
- Execute on the DPO annual plan which includes e.g. control activities, risk assessment and trainingDrafting of reports, e.g. to the board of directors
- Act as the primary contact with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Sw:Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten) or another competent authority supervising Trustly, ensuring all communication, reports and responses to regulatory requests are accurate, completed and submitted on time
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance management framework including drafting and revising internal governing documents (policies etc)
- Advice and support internal stakeholders on DPO / compliance related matters
- Stay abreast of changes in legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices related to GDPR and make suggestions with respect to related compliance policy and procedure enhancements
Who you are:
- You have an academic degree, preferably in law, with relevant working experience from a regulatory/supervisory financial environment or from a consultancy firm working with Data Protection, compliance or risk related issues towards the financial industry
- Experience in risk management and performing controls is an advantage
- Previous working experience regarding PSD2 or AML/CFT is an advantage
- A team player with high communication skills and the ability to deal with diverse teams of both internal and external stakeholders in a proactive manner
- Can-do attitude and take ownership of given and proactively identified tasks
- Fluent in English and Swedish
