Pay range: $62,100 - $75,900 | Annual bonus

The Security Specialist is responsible for supporting the mission of the NA Corporate Security Group by applying analytical, investigative and customer service duties in support of all Operating Divisions. This position provides direct tactical and operational support to the existing Corporate Security Managers in the areas of investigative analysis, threat intelligence vetting and collection and dissemination of physical evidence, as well as supporting approximately 145 Site Security Representatives in NA requests for various technical and analytical matters. As a Security Specialist, you create chemistry by...
- Analyzin Risk Threat Intelligence, including the analysis of threat intelligence information utilizing threat monitoring tools for social media, geo-located incident activities and analysis of OSINT (Open Source Data) related to BASF business operations. As a result of this, you will provide alert and advisories reporting to field corporate security managers and sites as needed to mitigate potential risks.
- Conducting due diligence checks and vetting prospective BASF Customers, to ensure they are a legitimate entity and in compliance with legal provisions. Business partners also include regular customers = goods recipients (e.g. customers, traders, brokers, warehouses, etc.) ordering sensitive and regulated BASF-chemicals and goods, which are controlled by law or by BASF Minimum Requirements.
- Being responsible for electronic and physical security:

Completing tasks related to employee identification and badging record creation related to physical access control, video monitoring systems and maintain the integrity of the access control system records.

Creating live-time reports related to electronic system health and deliver to site security representatives.

Pulling system data, access control or video, to aid in investigations. This may require review and isolation of relevant system evidence in a forensically sound manner.

Monitoring electronic security systems for BASF facilities that do not have dedicated security officers, and contacting SSRs should significant system alerts occur.

Supporting investigative efforts by collecting and analyzing physical and forensic evidence, preparing investigative case files which may be used to support criminal prosecutions, managing intake of Navex EthicsPoint incident and hotline reports and being exposed to and trained on Security Interviewing Techniques.
If you...
- Have an Associates Degree
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience with threat intelligence, physical security analytics or investigative support roles
- Possess trade certification in a Security related field; such as Physical Security, Investigative, Security Operations Center (GSOC) will be a plus
- Experience with typical corporate security systems & tools such as: Electronic Security Systems; access control, video surveillance, visitor management, social media monitoring, OSINIT investigations and analyzing Risk Intelligence information, collection of evidence, will be a plus
- Experience with MS Office for creating reports and analyzing data, will be a plus
- Experience with Security case management systems and hotlines, will be a plus
