JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Beaver, along with Penn State Shenango's Continuing Education Department is seeking Part-Time Cybersecurity Instructors to teach within the following program areas:

  • CompTIA Network+

  • CompTIA Security+

  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)

The instructor is responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, instructors are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

For all positions listed, candidate should possess at least a Master's Degree or its equivalent, or be an active candidate for a terminal degree, in an academic field related to their teaching specialization. Candidate should also possess CompTIA certifications in Network+, Security+, and CySA+. Experience teaching and/or training in an online learning environment is preferred.

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form 
• FBI Criminal Background Check

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
