Job Description:

SCRUM Master Advisor - Task Manager

Our work depends on SCRUM Master Advisor joining our team to assist the DNA23 Government PM and Team Lead in overall project execution and maintenance of the Technical Execution Plans (TXP) for their assigned projects. This role will support My Navy Foresight (MNF) and TM Nexus. The Task Manager / Scrum Master will act as Scrum Master for TM Nexus and will assist the Government PM/Team Lead in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) high-level/integration role for MNF.  The Task Manager / Scrum Master will also directly assist the Government PM/Team Lead in daily duties for MNF and TM Nexus outlined below.

HOW A SCRUM MASTER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Coordinates and monitors the scrum process from initiation through delivery
● Ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and with sufficient quality. Communicate on a regular basis with the Project Team to provide appropriate direction and guidance to ensure the products and services are completed with the required technical and business rigor.

● Responsible for developing project plans and budgets, and monitoring and reviewing budget constraints, financial execution, and contracting activities. Appropriate project planning, execution, management skills and experience acquired through formal training, experience, and mentoring is required.

● Act as Scrum Master where the contractor will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes, ensuring NSWCDD DNA can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions.Work closely with the development team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality.

● Serve as a coach and mentor to the team, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Required Skills: Have an Agile Project Management background and be familiar with agile processes and methodologies. Knowledgeable in the use of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and/or Gitlab within the Naval Systems Engineering Resource Center (NSERC) and Authoritative Data Environment (ADE) in support of DevSecOps efforts. Lead and manage Projects utilizing effective and efficient project execution and management techniques, processes, and protocols to ensure technical excellence and that customer requirements are met or exceeded in terms of cost, schedule, performance, and quality. Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization. Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Plan, coordinate, lead, conduct, brief, facilitate, or attend any meetings, demos, deep dives, and etcetera, to facilitate the successful delivery of the tasks laid out in this PWS. Including, but not limited to: providing subject matter expert (SME) workshops, agile software development processes (i.e. scrum meetings, standups, planning sessions, retros etc.), and project management activities (Integrated Master Schedule, Risk Management, Technical Performance Measures, and Quality Management aspects).

● Certified SAFe Scrum Master preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
