Dallas, TX- Open to hybrid or remote within distance of Sunflower Bank branch/office

Must have 5-10 years experience in IT and Security work 

Preferred CISA or CISSP certification

 

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an individual to fill the full-time position of  Senior Cybersecurity Analyst in Dallas, TX.  


The  Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for providing guidance in the configuration and architecture of various security tools. In addition, the role will provide analysis and investigation of various alerts and help to remediate threats and vulnerabilities across the Bank’s network. This role will collaborate across IT to manage responses to events and remediation efforts. Further, this role will be involved in providing guidance around the administration and configuration of technology and security services, developing processes and procedures, development of playbooks, and performing internal security assessments.  This position updates, maintains, and documents security controls and provides direct support to the institution as well as all internal IT groups. This role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer. 


The salary range for this position is depending on qualifications and experience. 

  • Works closely with internal staff and third-party vendors to identify, respond to, and remediate issues including tracking the source of an intrusion, reading logs, and escalating and following up on security events. 
  • Researching data found within IT tools such as endpoint protection and network visibility.
  • Participate in incident response protocols and post-incident reviews including the creation of incident reports.
  • Assist with improvements to endpoint security, perimeter security, and other tools or services across the technology stack.
  • Work with Architect and Engineering in the design and implementation of new services supporting the Bank.
  • Identify defensive steps to take, including firewall configurations, security software, and data encryption.
  • Keeps internal team up to date on threats possibly affecting the Bank which include monitoring the threat landscape, identifying, and escalating threats requiring attention.
  • Participates with internal staff and external vendors on annual penetration testing.
  • Provides a supporting role in developing and implementing information security standards, policies, and procedures best fit for the organization.
  • Responsible for performing periodic evaluations or assessments to ensure controls specific to data protection and Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) compliance are effective and efficient.
  • Responsible for ensuring all new assets owned by are identified in the CMDB with complete configuration item data. Assets owned must be maintained to adhere with all Asset Management Policy, Standards, Processes and work instructions.
  • Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
  • Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience (Combined 5-10 years of IT and Security work experience).
  • Security certification(s) preferred such as a CISA, CISSP, etc.
  • Preferred working knowledge of IT Risk Control Structures; NIST CSF, CIS Top 20, FFIEC, ITIL, COBIT, SOX and bank regulatory environment, including Payment Card Industry standards.
  • Preferred working knowledge of IT Risk Management, Change Management, Vendor Risk, and Cybersecurity.
  • Project Management experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be bondable.
