Ness Digital Engineering is seeking a dynamic professional  with 10+ years of experience to fill the role of Architect . In this pivotal position, you will lead the charge in steering the AWS cloud, VMWare Infrastructure, and DevSecOps services at Ness, with a primary focus on next-generation product innovation, core competency enhancement, and capability building across diverse geographical locations.  Job Requirements:Shared Infrastructure Focus Areas:
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud platforms, including Kubernetes (Rancher, AWS EKS, or similar), containers, VMs, Kafka, Apache Flink/Spark, EDB PostgreSQL, Redis Cache, S3/Cloudian, Apigee, or equivalent technologies.
  • Expertise in designing and managing hybrid cloud environments across AWS and VMware, with a focus on workload portability, network infrastructure, and security.
Responsibilities:
  • Architecting Global Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure:
    • Design and implement global enterprise networking operations for hybrid cloud environments.
    • Lead the architectural transformation from current to future state by addressing gaps in networking, security, and shared infrastructure.
    • Establish enterprise standards for network and shared infrastructure architecture, including security, scalability, and compliance.
2. Kubernetes Administration and Automation:
    • Oversee the design, setup, and management of Kubernetes clusters using Rancher, AWS EKS, or similar services, including deployment of CIS benchmarks, CSI drivers, ingress controllers, and reverse proxies.
    • Drive adoption of Kubernetes-based architectures to improve system scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
    • Promote DevOps and GitOps principles for containerized and hybrid cloud workloads.
3. Security and Network Architecture:
    • Define and enforce network segmentation, isolation, and security policies.
    • Implement security measures for hybrid environments, covering encryption, access control, and compliance.
    • Ensure infrastructure and network designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA).
4.Reliability and Operational Excellence:
    • Lead initiatives to enhance system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
    • Develop and execute business continuity strategies, including high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup/restore plans.
    • Promote automation-first mindsets in network automation, compliance, and security management.
5. Advisory and Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance on hybrid cloud solutions, shared infrastructure, and Kubernetes architecture.
    • Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and senior management to integrate security, reliability, and scalability into development lifecycles.
    • Develop customer-facing artifacts, such as proofs of concept, best practices, and technical white papers.
Skills Required
    • 18+ years of experience in global enterprise networking operations, data center management, and hybrid cloud services.
    • Strong background in AWS and VMware hybrid cloud environments with expertise in compute, network, storage, and security services.
    • 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing network segmentation, workload isolation, routing, and DNS subdomain management.
    • 10+ years in Kubernetes administration, including Rancher, AWS EKS, and other orchestration tools, with hands-on experience deploying CIS benchmarks, CSI drivers, ingress controllers, and observability stacks.
    • Deep knowledge of cloud security principles, encryption, and access control in hybrid environments.
    • Proven experience in promoting and implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
Certifications:
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
    • AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty
    • VMware NSX-T Certification
    • Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or Kubernetes Certified Security Specialist (CKS)
    • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent for security.
    • Experience with shared infrastructure services, including Kafka, Redis Cache, and API gateways like Apigee.
    • Knowledge of reliability engineering practices: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance tuning.
Nice-to-Have Skills
    • Familiarity with multi-cloud strategies using AWS, Azure, and GCP.
    • Experience implementing compliance standards in industries with strict regulations (e.g., finance, healthcare).
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as Bash, Python, and Terraform.
    • Experience conducting technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and delivering proposals to both technical and business stakeholders.
