The Identity Governance and Administration team is in need of an Information Security Analyst with strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.   Candidate must be a fast learner who can hit the ground running, eager to learn, detailed oriented, multi-task oriented, move with urgency and can contribute quickly. Primary focus of the role is on day-to-day deliverables, developing solutions based on subject expertise and giving representation where needed.

Job Description/Major Duties :

Prepares and sets up applications, tests data for Identity and Access Management projects Interacts with Clients to troubleshoot application issues and determine a resolution Learns and complies with Identity and Access Management principles and objectives Analyzes Client’s requests to determine the necessary requirements Implements and identifies improvements to Access Control system enhancements Manages consulting practice with business partners for technology security topics Maintains relationships with partners to manage effectiveness of the access security life cycle management process Mitigates risk of conversions to partners Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
 

Knowledge/Skills :

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and possess solid execution skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills are required
  • Experienced in writing business requirements and details 
  • Experience leading requirements gathering sessions
  • Demonstrates critical thought and probes beyond the surface of the requested data to get at the valuable (actionable) information
  • An In-depth understanding of Information Security is beneficial
  • Must be highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent people skills are also necessary since this position interacts with all levels of resources across the entire organization
  • In-depth Functional/Industry Knowledge, such as IT audit, IT Risk Management and Information Security is beneficial

- Working in a collaborative team environment helping the team to maintain and build integrations with cloud and on-prem solutions at Northern Trust.
- Responsible for application configuration and integration, evaluates and makes recommendation on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance business needs, also does work to ensure continuous process improvements.
- Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications

3. Experience Level: (2-5+ yrs)
 

4. Qualifications:
• Strong development/support expectance in Java, microservices, Spring boot, Python Spring Framework, SQL databases
• Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and best practices
• Azure DevOps/Control-M/ServiceNow
• Experience working across Linux and Windows Active Directory platforms
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• A positive goal orientated attitude with a focus on service delivery

5. Nice to Haves:
- Cloud based container architecture on Azure and/or AWS
- IAM/IGA Product Expertise
6. Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and troubleshoot application issues in production
2. Leads troubleshooting, analysis, and solution of unexpected systems behaviors that impact the quality of service
3. Liaise with stakeholders (tech and business) in problem resolution
4. Communicate issue/resolution status (written and verbal) to project team and management
5. Minor production bug fixes
6. Disaster Recovery and Patch testing
7. Perform Setup/configure tasks related to application onboarding
8. Perform reconciliation and reporting of identity and access data
9. Access review/Audit activity

Other Experience :

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience in the area of Information Security is required. Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC is preferred. Proven experience working with commercial IAM products for a sizeable enterprise (preferably 5,000+ employees / external users), including development of solutions for Identity Management, user provisioning, Single-Sign & Reduced Sign On and Web Access Management solutions
