What you'll be doing

As a Sr. Manager, Enterprise Cryptographic Services, you will join CIBC’s Privileged Identity and Access department with a mandate of ensuring secure administration and operation of CIBC Technologies, that risk is mitigated to the appropriate level while enabling simple appropriate cryptographic Techniques. You will analyze issues, data and situations to manage the assessment of security controls and configurations of specific technical environments, along with security management capabilities.

You will support key controls and audit remediation efforts related to symmetric and asymmetric Cryptography, and timely execution of work and ability to report and measure performance to expected deliverable and maintain strong relationships with business partners. In addition, you will be responsible for resource management, Segregation of Duties Access Controls, Security metrics Reporting, department incident remediation as well as other activities involving key and certificate management.

How you’ll succeed

  • Lead and manage the Key and Certificate Management Operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

  • Develop and implement strategies for the secure generation, distribution, and storage of cryptographic keys and digital certificates.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to key and certificate management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate key and certificate management solutions into various systems and applications.

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents related to key and certificate management, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cryptographic technologies and security practices.

  • Prepare and present reports on key and certificate management activities to senior leadership.

Who you are

  • You have demonstrated 3 - 5 years of experience with Client Focus, Simplification and Innovation as they relate to Cryptography, PKI, and key management along with expert understanding of the industry changes related to PKI and key management and its impacts on the industry. Prior experience in cryptography and key/ certificate management field and its initiatives / deficiencies / activities is required. It's an asset if you have any related certifications in CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC

  • You have a thorough understanding of key controls, common risk framework and information security risk management

  • You have an ability to influence senior stakeholders in situations that require cooperation and consensus.

  • You have a passion in creating innovation, collaborating, and leaders who are up for the challenge of building the bank of the future and delivering solutions that meet our clients’ changing needs.

  • You are a bold and accountable leader. You have experience developing and implementing strategic team goals. You have 3-5 years of people management experience with experience coaching employees and driving successful team performance.

*Prior to starting in this role, security checks, including a criminal record check must be successfully completed to the satisfaction of CIBC. An annual criminal record check may also be required.
