Job Summary
As part of the cyber underwriting team, works closely with the Cyber Underwriting, Cyber Threat 
Intelligence and Cyber Claim functions to monitor and optimize cyber portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

Relying on broad experience and judgment, this role is responsible for accomplishing the following 
assignments and has substantial latitude for actions or decisions made with minimal review. These 
assignments are varied in nature.
Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead Tokio Marine HCC’s cyber catastrophe modeling working with both internal and external models.
  • Collaborate with the corporate actuarial team on cyber related projects. Reviews, informs, and guides actuarial to ensure the most accurate view of profitability and reserve indications across the portfolio based on intimate knowledge of underwriting actions being implemented and thorough understanding of underlying portfolio.
  • Review key performance indicators (new business quote ratio/hit ratio, policy count retention,  premium retention) by sector and size segment across the cyber insurance portfolio including open market, broker portal, and API and makes monthly adjustment recommendations.
  • Monitor loss ratio performance and makes recommendations relative to risk appetite, pricing, capacity management and self-insured retention levels. Review portfolio reinsurance structures relative to loss trends, catastrophe model output, and portfolio performance.
  • Work with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Cyber Claims to derive useful portfolio insights and apply learnings to the underwriting framework.
  • Assist with the preparation of executive presentation materials.
  • Research cyber insurance trends and conducts market analysis.
  • Investigate and gather knowledge of rate levels, policy terms, and country profitability in order to prioritize profitable expansion into new geographic territories.

Education

  • Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management or related fields

Experience

  • 6 Years of cyber analytics or cyber actuarial function; Associate of Casualty Actuarial Society or higher
