JOB SUMMARY

Information Security Engineer IIs are responsible for the deploying and maintaining security tools managed by this team. They support evaluation of devices, systems, networks, and processes within CSI for current and future vulnerabilities. Can provide guidance on securing environments and establish business processes supporting the governance of policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience with developing and implementing security technologies and tools in the following areas:
    1. Application Security
    2. API Security
    3. Cloud Security Posture Management
    4. Vulnerability Management
  • Knowledge of encryption standards, security protocols, and risk management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of networks, operating systems, and hardware.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting devices which are deployed by the information security team in the cloud.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards. As needed, validate bug bounty submissions.
  • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities using the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and other threat intelligence sources.
  • Implement and maintain security measures in line with OWASP Top 10 guidelines to protect web applications.
  • Supports timely completion of vulnerability remediation.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for Information Security by creating writeups on recent trends and emerging vulnerabilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING

  • Maintained PCI compliance and management reporting objectives.
  • Vulnerability SLAs are met accordingly to corporate guidelines.
  • Maturation and optimization of business processes within EISS.
  • Identify risks to organization both externally and internally.
  • Work with stakeholders to streamline remediation efforts.

PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING

Education & Certifications: Education or job knowledge equivalent to college or university undergraduate education. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are often preferred.

Experience: The minimum amount of relevant work experience required to successfully perform the job is at least five (5) years.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Travel: Minimal travel required (up to 20%).

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. This position requires the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), and close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Primarily a computer focused position and requires the basic need to look at a computer screen up to 8 hours a day. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
