Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The intern position will assist the IT Security team in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Intuitive's information systems and data. This role will provide an opportunity to gain involved experience across various cybersecurity domains, such as security awareness, vulnerability assessment, configuration hardening, threat monitoring, incident response, security operations, and related areas. Specific responsibilities will be explained by the hiring manager.

Essential Job Duties

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Help the implementation and maintenance of security controls and related technologies.
• Monitor and examine security events and alerts to identify potential cyber threats.
• Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity documentation materials.
• Work closely with cross-functional Information Technology (IT) teams and other stakeholders in the organization.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Technical knowledge of computer networks and/or operating systems.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
• Proven critical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and synergy abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential and delicate information with integrity.

Required Education and Training

• Current enrollment in a cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related degree-seeking program at the Bachelor’s level.
• Master's level students would also be considered based on specific relevant experience.

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including relevant skills and experience for this internship, degree-seeking academic program (PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, etc), year in school, and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
