WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Threat Detection Manager, you will oversee and manage service deliverables while collaborating with cross-departmental teams to ensure the organization maintains a strong security posture. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will implement and refine security processes, proactively hunt for threats, and lead efforts to safeguard Kaseya's digital infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the operations of service deliverables for the Threat Detection Team.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and legal teams for a unified security approach.
  • Categorize and prioritize security events based on severity and impact.
  • Communicate security issues and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Document security events and manage workflows for incident alerting and investigation.
  • Implement improvements based on After Action Reports (AARs) or audit findings.
  • Conduct proactive and ad-hoc threat hunts for malicious activities.
  • Manage the Threat Detection department budget, ensuring cost-effective resource use while maintaining high security standards.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance performance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve security processes, technologies, and strategies.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a security leader with prior experience in monitoring, detection, and incident management. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in at least one security domain, coupled with effective communication and project management skills.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as BTL2, MSCE, GCFR, GSIH, GCFA.
  • Cross-domain certifications like CCNP, Network+, Linux+, CISA.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong operational oversight of triage, review, and handling of Threat Detection Team deliverables.
  • Ownership and development of processes, procedures, and templates for the Threat Detection Team.
  • Advanced domain knowledge with the ability to direct and mentor others.
  • 8+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on monitoring and detection.
  • At least 3 years in an advanced role, such as Senior Analyst or Project Lead.
