DevSecOps/SRE Developer

Overall Responsibilities: 

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps/SRE Developer with experience in institutional banking environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in enterprise development, cloud deployments, and a deep understanding of security and operational practices. The role will involve representing the team on change boards, conducting reviews, and ensuring that platforms meet both service level objectives and business requirements while focusing on non-functional aspects such as security, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the DevSecOps/SRE team on the change board and collaborate with aligned architecture, change, and development teams.
• Conduct reviews and provide constructive challenges to project teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Analyze requirements and prioritize deliveries based on business needs and non-functional requirements.
• Focus on ensuring that platforms meet service level objectives alongside business requirements, emphasizing security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, and usability.
• Collaborate closely with vendors and external teams to ensure integration and alignment with enterprise standards.

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in a development role, preferably in institutional banking environments (either in support or enterprise development).
• Proven cloud deployment experience is beneficial.

Technical Skills (Category-wise):

Programming Languages: Proficient in Java and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

CI/CD Tools: Deep knowledge of enterprise build and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, Artifactory, etc.

Test Automation: Good knowledge of test automation best practices and tools.

Systems Engineering: Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals and best practices.

Integration Patterns: Experience in driving enterprise integration patterns and working with vendor-managed systems.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Participate in change board meetings and represent the DevSecOps/SRE team.
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to security and operational standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and prioritize development tasks.
• Monitor platform performance and make recommendations for improvements based on non-functional requirements.
• Work closely with vendors and other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in a development role, particularly in institutional banking or finance.
