Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated security professional to join us as an Embedded Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC) Analyst for a global financial sector client. Reporting to the embedded manager, you will join a 24/7 team of security specialists providing access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response, threat monitoring, and intelligence analysis services in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built PSOC in the heart of London’s financial district.
In this multifaceted role, as a PSOC Analyst, you will be responsible for physical security monitoring and disseminating mass communications concerning global events that hold the potential to impact the well-being of company personnel and valuable assets. As a central point for escalation, coordination, and communication during times of crisis, and acting as a security concierge, you will engage with various business functions, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing their needs, expectations, and concerns.
The role will involve some intelligence analysis and reporting. You will maintain a constant awareness of geopolitical and national issues that may impact the client’s employees, locations or reputation. You will conduct horizon scanning to produce reports highlighting emerging trends and incidents in regions where the company operates. This is delivered as reporting and reviews for the client and key decision-makers.
The PSOC operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Therefore, you must be flexible to work on weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required by the shift rota.

- Ensure that staff, assets, and access points are secured on a regular basis, reporting any hazardous conditions to security management
- Follow the client’s escalation procedures to notify security management of any critical incidents, unsafe conditions, or technical failures
- Create accurate communication logs by reporting incidents in dedicated case management databases
- Utilise geographic information systems to ascertain potential risk and incidents that occur in the vicinity of the client’s assets
- Aid investigations by utilising data and information available in sensitive security databases
- Facilitate the dissemination of information to mobilize the necessary resources to ensure that regional staff can mitigate immediate risks and incidents
- Provide situational awareness and intelligence reporting of issues occurring at a high level globally, through internet observation, news media reporting, and intergroup communication with other elements
Requirements
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in a security function, military service, government, law enforcement, private security, corporate intelligence, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in security policies, best practices, and procedures, with a customer service mindset
- Experience with following SOPs related to physical and asset security
- Willingness to support all aspects of PSOC operations, including security concierge services, securing access points and alarm response
- Impeccable communication skills, with the ability to take urgent calls from concerned stakeholders with patience and professionalism
- Ability to monitor the news, social media, other information feeds and quickly determine the impact of security events and crises on business operations
- Excellent research skills, with the ability to rapidly digest, evaluate and “sift” large quantities of information from a range of sources
- Ability to interpret, organise and visualise data
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to provide thoughtful insight into complex situations
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of competency with MS Office tools
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
