Specialist - Risk Management.Risk and Compliance

Core purpose of the Job:

Specialist:  Risks Management, is to assist in ensuring that business units across the organization take ownership in the identification and management of their divisional risks to guarantee safeguarding MTN Eswatini’s customers, reputation, assets and the interests of stakeholders as well as manage the implementation of the Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) activities for proactive, regular and automated monitoring of key controls to ensure that they are effectively operating as designed and that plans are in place to fix any control breakdown.

Key Tasks:

• Risk Management
  • Diversifying telco-to-techno landscape
  • Evolving industry ecosystems
  • Volatile and unstable currency and market movements in the OpCo
  • Regulatory and Legislative compliance
  • Technology risk assessment, management, and monitoring.
  • Manage the identification and evaluation of risks with the support of divisional Risk champions and management.

 

• Continuous Control Management
  • Ensure effective implementation of CCM framework
  • Manage the Identification of key control areas to include in the CCM tool
  • Manage Daily, weekly and Monthly Monitoring activities
  • Manage the identification and classification of mitigation controls for each control breakdown
  • Manage the communication of exception reports to management and ensure development of mitigation plans 
  • Manage the communication of exception reports to Audit, for Continuous Auditing
  • Assist in ensuring continuous reassessments of the agreed controls

Minimum Requirements

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Engineering, or a related field. 
• A relevant professional qualification in risk management would be a plus.

Experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a related field, preferably in Information Systems/Security/Telecoms/Financial Services.

• Risk Management/ Business Continuity/Information Security Management/Analytics (CCM)
• Leadership and coaching.
