Head of Security Operations to Saab Surveillance

Saab business area Surveillance is looking for a Head of Operational Security.

As a Head of Operational Security at business area Surveillance, you will work in an international environment where a complex security threat landscape as well as a sometimes challenging requirement landscape is part of our daily operations. You will in this position be part of the everyday operations and projects with high business impact why it is important to have a good business understanding.

In this role as Head of Operational Security, you will be managing, leading and coordinating a team of security generalists with different skillsets put together in order to support all our widespread operation. The aim for this team is to support and govern our businesses and ensure a compliant and adequate security set-up throughout or wide operations. This role requires that you have a very good ability to cooperate and communicate since you are dependent on other functions and specialist to support your team of security generalists.

This role will be manager for a team of security generalists and part of Surveillance security management team where you will be part of deciding the strategic and operational direction for the security function. Your main tasks will be:

• Manager for our Operational Security team
• Part of the management team within Surveillance security
• Represent Surveillance Operational Security internally and externally
• Security risk management, including risk assessments
• Compliance management including establishing and maintaining security instructions, routines and guidelines
• Trainings and presentations

All areas of protective security management will be a major part of your everyday work and the Operational Security manager will lead, guide and support others in the team.

Your profile

Required skills:

• A university degree or equivalent competence acquired through work life experience in security risk management, crisis management and/or similar
• Several years of experience from working with security risk management, crisis management and/or similar within the Saab context or similar
• Experience from working with security management
• Experience from working with Swedish protective security
• Leadership/management experience
• Good problem-solving skills in a security context
• Good ability to establish clear structures and handle many tasks simultaneously
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written

Desired skills:

• Experience from working for government authorities or in a global context including understanding of various security related issues in the business process
• Experience from working with GSA´s, Classifications guides, security within contracts in and outside Sweden
• Experience from audit and control within protective security
• Good knowledge about Saab´s routines and processes
• Ability to build and maintain networks and good relations inside as well as outside your own organization
• Experience from working with incident handling and/or incident investigations

Personal qualities will be of great importance, you are a true team player, always focusing at the team’s results and supporting the business and the company.

This position will be based in either Gothenburg or Stockholm but for the right candidate other locations where Surveillance have established operations might be considered.

Since we are a global company and we work in an international context we require that you feel confident in both speaking and writing in English. The position will require travel, both domestic and international, in order to support and continually follow-up your team and operation, maintain networks, conduct training, etc. It also requires a flexible and dynamic individual who can adjust and quickly adapt to changes.

It is paramount that you are trustworthy with strong ethics and personal integrity and you understand the need for balanced security in a business driven environment.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
