Cyber/Network Administrator Internship

Overview:

Olgoonik Corporation is a robust worldwide federal contractor company that is recruiting for Cyber/Network Administrator Internship. This role offers exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced IT professionals, gain real-world experience in network and cybersecurity management, and develop skills in managing complex IT environments. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Help with troubleshooting network performance issues and implementing solutions.
• Support cybersecurity efforts, such as vulnerability assessments, threat analysis and Incident Response.
• Participate in system updates, patches, and backups to ensure the integrity and security of company data.
• Document network configurations, processes, and incidents for auditing purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance security protocols and policies.
• Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts
• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows Server, Linux, or macOS.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., firewalls, encryption, threat management).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrates strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Exhibits a proactive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn and take initiative
