RMC is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to provide IT support for RDT&E (Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation) networks at NSWC Crane. The ideal candidate will deliver quality solutions while maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure and ensuring network security, performance, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities in this position include but are not limited to:
• Develop and maintain network architecture and infrastructure, including installation, testing, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Support infrastructure components such as:
• Border security stack
• Remote site hardware
• Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
• Storage/compute fabric
• WAN/LAN networks
• Management network
• Provide network configuration and documentation, including creating network diagrams and maintaining hardware/software lists.
• Ensure all network services, configurations, and infrastructure comply with SLAs, MOUs/MOAs, and design documents.
• Generate and submit compliance reports for SLA adherence.
• Manage system resources by monitoring performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Implement security procedures and troubleshoot hardware/software interface or interoperability issues.
• Ensure system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency while maintaining system configuration and documentation.
• Oversee the installation, integration, and management of system fixes, updates, and enhancements.
• Document standard procedures and processes.
• Respond to service requests and update service request ticketing systems with accurate details, including problem resolution, time spent, follow-up actions, change requests, and ticket closures.
• Experience with F5 services (APM, SWG, GTM, LTM).
• Proficiency in configuring Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including posture modules.
• Knowledge of network mapping tools, such as RedSeal.
• Working knowledge of Azure Cloud Environment.
• Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000.
Requirements
• Proven experience developing and maintaining complex network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network communication issues using tools like Splunk or similar SIEM solutions.
• Experience with Cisco Firepower for network security and management.
• Experience implementing dynamic routing protocols, such as BGP and OSPF.
• Ability to document and manage network configurations and ensure SLA compliance.
• Strong understanding of network monitoring, security, and performance optimization.
• The selected applicants must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level III Certification (CompTIA CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISSP).
