As a platform cybersecurity engineer at Gallup, your job is to keep Gallup’s systems and network safe. From testing and monitoring to assessing and auditing, we’ll depend on your attention to detail, strategic thinking, curious and analytical mindset, self-starter attitude, and expertise in technology security to keep our systems and data secure and to mitigate future risks.

As a cybersecurity expert, you’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and consult with architects, administrators and leads to provide recommendations on security enhancements. You’ll own projects, innovate and solve problems by working in multiple security disciplines on the latest cutting-edge platforms and technology.

Every day may look different, but the objective is always the same — to protect Gallup’s systems and data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead/support security efforts throughout the deployment life cycle — from architecture and design to deployment and through post-implementation and final validation

  • Automate security operational tasks and processes

  • Assist in troubleshooting and solving a wide variety of security issues
  • Serve as a security adviser for the system and network teams

What you need:

  • At least one of the following required:

1)    bachelor’s degree in information security/assurance, MIS, computer science or related field (or the equivalent in education and experience)

2)    related and reputable security certification (e.g., OSCP or GIAC)

  • At least one year of professional cybersecurity experience required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 cloud environment and Active Directory required
  • Knowledge of operating systems, networking and firewalls required
  • Knowledge of offensive (red team) or defensive (blue team) security required
  • Experience working with system languages (e.g., Bash or PowerShell) required
  • Experience working with enterprise SIEM products preferred
  • Ability to work at Gallup’s Omaha Riverfront campus at least three days per week required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
