Pay Transparency:
The anticipated starting salary range for Philadelphia-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $65,000/yr. to $75,000/yr.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Overview:
Audacy is seeking a motivated and quick-learning Junior Security Operations Engineer to join our growing security team. As a Junior Security Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting our organization's information systems and data by monitoring security tools, responding to security incidents, and assisting with the implementation of security controls. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about cybersecurity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools for suspicious activity.
- Triage and investigate security alerts, escalating incidents as necessary.
- Assist in the response to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Participate in security awareness training and education initiatives.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
- Document security incidents and create reports for management.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications

Required/Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or 1 year of equivalent experience in a security operations role.
- Basic understanding of security concepts, such as network security, endpoint security, and data security.
- Familiarity with common security tools, such as SIEMs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+).
