We are looking for a qualified Senior IT Specialist to oversee the infrastructure & maintain the IT Services, including hardware, software, and networks aiming for the highest functionality.

You will also make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure. A successful Senior IT Specialist must have a thorough knowledge of computer software, hardware, various applications, networks, and operating systems.

The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain our infrastructure in ways that optimize performance
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
  • Be responsible for device and password management
  • Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls)
  • Maintain the alignment with Cyber Security Controls
  • Assess system performance and recommend improvements
  • Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on Service Desk
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Supervise the implementation and maintenance of our infrastructure
  • Work with our Operations team, monitoring system performance, and configuring new software and hardware
  • Monitor network infrastructure and resolving system issues
  • Train new system users and set up their accounts
  • Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications
  • Ensure our IT systems are secure, consistent, and reliable
  • Work on Infrastructure technical documentation

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
  • Knowledge of system security techniques
  • Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware,software and network problems
  • Experience with data centre & Infratructure management
  • Experience with firewalls, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis
  • Experience with various operating systems and databases
  • Experience in IT project management
  • A team player with excellent communication, both written and verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certification (e.g. ITIL, CompTIA Network+, CISSP)
  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferable.
  • BSc in Computer Science or similar field
