OT Specialist

Lead the digital transformation efforts in Metals and Mining as well as smelting and refining operations, identifying opportunities for automation, data analytics, and process optimization. 

Research, evaluate, and recommend cutting-edge digital technologies and solutions to improve the efficiency and sustainability of metal smelting and refining processes. 

Collaborate with process engineers and technicians to integrate digital solutions into existing Mining, smelting and refining operations, ensuring seamless and effective implementation. 

Implement digital quality control systems to ensure consistent and high-quality metal output. 

Develop data management strategies and tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing process data to enhance decision-making and performance monitoring. 

Continuously monitor and analyze process performance data, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. 

Configure, install, and management of OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and other industrial control systems. 

Perform routine system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to ensure optimal performance. 

Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. 

Collaborate to troubleshoot and diagnose complex OT system problems. 

Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect OT assets from cyber threats. 

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to OT security. 

Provide technical support for OT software applications, assisting end-users with any issues or questions. 

Assist in the development and customization of OT applications to meet specific business needs. 

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 

Provide training to end-users and IT/OT teams to enhance their technical knowledge. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to align OT systems with business goals. 

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and understanding of OT-related activities. 

Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate the effectiveness of OT solutions. 

Maintain detailed documentation of OT designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. 

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in OT. 

Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of OT systems. 

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or related field. 

Certifications in relevant OT technologies are a plus. 

Relevant certifications such as ISA/IEC 62443, CompTIA Security+, Siemens S7, etc.
