Transition Manager

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Transition Manager you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Transition Manager joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration.
● Manages transition schedule, administration and support including customer briefing and or customer interactions, including hiring and supervising assigned professional and support staff.
● Supervises and provides guidance to a team ensuring work quality and completion of projects and task.
●Drives completion of transition schedule and task

● Works with customers, other teams and vendors to ensure team success.
● Manage completion of projects, changes request and incident resolution ensuring availability of services for the customer and its users.
●Provide critical analysis of current solutions and solution recommendations to identify right sized solutions that provide security, redundancy and fault tolerance.

● Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends



WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelors of Science (Substitutions will be based on additional years of experience)

● Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience

● Required Technical Skills: Network Design and Engineering; Performance and Capacity Management; Incident Isolation; Network Monitoring; Network Configuration Management.

● Security Clearance Level: DOE Q or TS
● Required Skills and Abilities: Effective administrative and organizational skills; Effective people management skills;  Extensive knowledge of company policies, processes, and procedures - Understanding of company strategic goals and how they align to business operations
● Preferred Skills CISSP\CASP; ITIL; Project Management; Cloud;

● Random Drug Screening required.

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
