Are you a risk and compliance professional ready to make a significant impact? Guild Group is looking for a skilled Risk & Compliance Specialist to join our 2nd line Risk, Audit & Compliance (RAC) team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and optimisation of our Risk Management system while driving operational resilience and ensuring regulatory compliance across the Group.

As a Risk & Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing management of Guild Group’s Risk Management Framework, working with our Risk Management software suite, Protecht. This role offers a great opportunity to be a true business partner and support a broad range of initiatives aimed at enhancing risk processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving better business outcomes. You will also work closely with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, risk and compliance teams, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Continuity and Operational Resilience: Act as the business liaison for Critical Operations and Business Continuity Planning (BCP), supporting the development, maintenance, and testing of business continuity plans. Lead operational resilience initiatives and conduct impact assessments for critical operations.
  • Risk Management Software Support: Manage and optimise the Risk Management software, including user access, system configuration, updates, and data quality reviews. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to internal users and ensure the system is functioning effectively.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the implementation and ongoing compliance with prudential standards, including CPS230 (Operational Risk Management), CPS234 (Information Security), and other relevant regulatory requirements. Ensure alignment with legislative and regulatory requirements, such as the Financial Accountability Regime and Modern Slavery Act.
  • Risk & Control Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain risk profiles and oversee risk and control assessments. Assist in the design and assessment of new controls, contributing to the uplift of the control environment and assurance processes.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Perform regular risk and compliance reporting, providing data-driven insights to the RAC team and senior leadership. Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis on key risk indicators (KRIs), incidents, and other risk metrics.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: you’ll bring relevant experience in risk or compliance roles, ideally in a medium to large corporate environment. Strong exposure to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and operational resilience is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable, as is familiarity with regulatory standards such as APRA’s Prudential Standards (CPS230, CPS234) and the Financial Accountability Regime.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience in supporting or maintaining Enterprise Risk Management systems (preferably Protecht) is highly desirable. You should also have a solid understanding of risk frameworks, risk profiling, and controls design.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
