Summary

The Cybersecurity Specialist drives Calderys’ cybersecurity initiatives by blending technical expertise with strong project management skills. This role involves leading security projects, implementing security measures, and performing risk assessments to proactively enhance Calderys' security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Security Control Implementation: Oversee Calderys' security standards for network segmentation, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management together with the Security Engineer from the team.
  • Lead Security Framework Operations: Maintain and refine the Calderys security framework, aligning with NIST, ISO 27001, NIS2, and other industry standards.
  • Manage Third-Party Risk Assessments: Regularly evaluate vendor security compliance to manage risks and ensure adherence to Calderys’ standards.
  • Incident Detection and Response Oversight: Lead incident response efforts, working with managed service providers and internal teams for rapid threat resolution together with the Security Engineer from the team.
  • Vulnerability Management and Remediation: Oversee vulnerability scanning and remediation using tools such as Qualys and Tanium, focusing on proactive risk reduction together with the Security Engineer from the team.
  • Access Control Policies: Enforce access control policies using Okta and BeyondTrust for secure identity and privilege management across Calderys together with the Security Engineer from the team.
  • Compliance and Audit Leadership: Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks, prepare for internal and external audits, and report key security metrics to leadership.
  • Security Awareness and Training Programs: Develop security training initiatives, including phishing simulations and best practice education, using Proofpoint and other tools.
  • Complex Project Management: Lead large-scale security projects, balancing technical tasks with effective communication and coordination to meet objectives.
  • Executive Reporting and Insights: Present actionable insights to executive leadership, interpreting security findings in a clear, concise manner to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience; advanced certifications (e.g.,CCSK, CISM) is an advantage.
  • Experience: 2+ years in cybersecurity with a demonstrated record in managing security projects and engaging stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Okta, Proofpoint, Cortex XDR, Tanium and Qualys would be an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Advanced emotional intelligence (EQ) for building relationships, navigating challenges, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills for leading initiatives, managing resources, and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts to various audiences, including executives, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Learning Orientation: Commitment to staying updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry best practices, and innovative security solutions. An attitude of wanting to learn and act.
