Salary: $150,000 - 190,000/yearActive TS/SCI required. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Security Manager to oversee and manage security operations at our industrial site. This critical role requires a professional with an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and a strong background in security management within a classified environment. The Industrial Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable security regulations, safeguarding classified information, and maintaining the integrity of security systems and personnel at our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Security Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security programs for the protection of classified information, physical assets, and personnel in accordance with federal regulations (e.g., NISPOM, ICDs, etc.).
  • Clearance Management: Oversee personnel security clearances, including initial clearance requests, periodic reinvestigations, and ensuring all required documentation is properly submitted and tracked in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or similar systems.
  • Facility Security: Manage physical security systems, including access control, CCTV monitoring, perimeter security, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring they are effective and comply with federal requirements.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other applicable security regulations. Conduct regular security audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Incident Response and Reporting: Respond to and investigate security breaches, incidents, or violations, and prepare reports detailing findings, corrective actions, and recommendations. Maintain a proactive security posture and work to mitigate potential threats.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees and contractors to ensure they understand their responsibilities concerning classified information, facility security, and emergency procedures.
  • Liaison with Government Agencies: Serve as the primary liaison with government security agencies such as the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and other relevant organizations. Coordinate the submission of necessary reports, audits, and security investigations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess security risks and vulnerabilities, and recommend security improvements or enhancements to mitigate potential threats.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Draft and maintain security policies and procedures for personnel and physical security operations to ensure compliance with all relevant security guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Security Personnel Supervision: Supervise security staff, ensuring adequate training, proper conduct, and effective performance in all areas of industrial security operations.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required. Candidate must be able to maintain clearance throughout employment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial or government security, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role within a classified environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Certification in Industrial Security (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Industrial Security Professional (ISP)) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Security Regulations: Strong understanding of NISPOM, ICDs, and other applicable government security regulations and best practices.
  • Security Systems Proficiency: Experience with security systems such as access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and other industrial security technology.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and manage security teams, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate complex security concepts clearly to staff at all levels.
