Position Summary
The Information Security Specialist will provide comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end IT services that includes preparing information system security documentation and maintaining user security status and education.
Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides cybersecurity functional support for assessments, authorizations, and documentation of enterprise fielded systems.
- Uses current information security technology disciplines and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Develops and maintains knowledge base on changing regulatory, threat, and technology landscapes to continually develop or maintain security policies and standards and ensure compliance throughout the organization.
- Utilizes Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to record Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
- Responsible for ensuring information systems are configured IAW DISA STIGs, applicable patches, and other cybersecurity requirements.
- Prepares information reports.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-7 years of experience
- DoD Programs experience
- Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
- Clearance Level: Secret
- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher
Skill & Certification Requirements
- CompTIA Security+
- Working knowledge of Microsoft systems and DoD Computer Network Defense software packages.
- IAW DISA STIGS
- Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
- Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor
- Extended Telephone Use
- May require lifting of 20-50 lbs
