Job Summary
The CE Cyber Field Service Associate is to support the operations of the Clinical Engineering Department with regards to production medical equipment IT systems and various Connectable & Connected Device Inventory (CDI) projects. These operations entail responding to and supporting with technical expertise Client driven integration projects, medical device network configurations, connected device inventory management, service and repair requests, identifying fault conditions and remediating if capable, or contacting and teaming with the Client Information Technology Department resources to resolve issues. This individual will utilize downtime plans, logistics, and training to support the operational data workflows of the integrated medical devices and the production environment. The CE CYBER Technician will ensure clinical equipment systems are fully inventoried, interfaced and/or integrated with various information systems in a consistent dependable manner, as determined by the Client’s Information Technology Department, in accordance with conventional networking and security practices, the Medical Equipment Management Plan and the TRIMEDX Clinical Engineering Program policies and procedures.
Location: This role is eligible for primarily remote-based work with up to 50% travel. Must be based in the Pacific Northwest (Western Washington or Western Oregon) to meet the travel demands of the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Skills:
Understanding of medical device technology
Knowledge of healthcare and clinical environment risk factors
Knowledgeable of the operation of and experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of medical equipment and systems
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and enterprise IT security
Knowledge of computers, operating systems, security, and networking
Ability to interpret technical documentation and manuals
Basic analysis of test data and interpretation of schematic diagrams
Required:
Associates degree or equivalent certifications in a related Cyber Security/ Information Technology/ Bio-Medical Field of Study
Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams and at multiple points in system lifecycle
Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills
Ability to understand and analyze business problems to derive technology-based solutions
Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of responsibility
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Accountabilities:
Supports and monitors Connected Device Inventory
Creation of Medical Device Security Assessments using internal tools and manufacturer documentation
Provides assistance in the area of Clinical Engineering-IT (CE CYBER) Systems and CDI
Establishes themselves as a support liaison for the Clinical Engineering Department related to networked and/or integrated medical devices and/or systems.
Promotes uniform maintenance and repairs on production medical device systems across the Client’s healthcare enterprise.
Responds to CDI trouble calls pertaining to data flow issues from customers.
Verifies proper data flow conditions on the CDI
Under supervision, provides guidance and assistance in the area of Clinical Engineering-IT (CE-IT)
Assist with developing communication content and reports for TRIMEDX customers on medical device security issues.
Supports data/configuration backup procedures and processes, for installation and/or upgrade of CDI devices and systems; as well as related equipment
Supports Client IT and various medical device and software vendors to lab test solutions prior to these solutions being put into the production environment
Develops working knowledge and skills of Clinical Engineering staff to the level attainable for all server based medical equipment applications that Clinical Engineering is responsible for, as defined by the scope of the Client agreement in order to acts as a System Administrator in partnership with Client IT and Clinical teams for these systems
Assist in the preparation and delivery of status reports on program matters and ongoing events according to response procedures.
Advise TRIMEDX customers on device updates and upgrades due to medical device security issues.
Support TRIMEDX field associates during incident response and disaster recovery for medical devices serviced by TRIMEDX.
Assist in the documentation, reporting, and communication of incident response activities.
Assists with organization and coordination of field response and remediation activities as necessary.

Applicants can expect a compensation range of $75,000-105,000 for this opportunity. This is the reasonable estimate that TRIMEDX believes it might pay for this particular job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. TRIMEDX may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
