Cyber Security Analyst

We're growing and looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team!  As a member of the Curtiss-Wright Plant Information Management & Controls business unit, we are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security professional to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in auditing and assessing internal and client systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor the organization’s security infrastructure, and to build client systems with the goal of preventing harmful infiltration of external and internal threats.

Your Challenge:

  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.

  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.

  • Perform regular audits to internal and client systems.

  • Define and maintain cyber security controls across business unit

  • Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations.

  • Upgrade and/or implement security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements and maintaining security controls.

  • Actively participate in system administration, network security, and firewall administration

  • Configure Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

  • Process improvement

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

  • 6+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific training and certification

  • Advanced understanding of network architectures, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.

  • Experience with vulnerability and intrusion detection scanning solutions

  • Proficiency with any of the following: Anti-Virus, HIPS, ID/PS, Full Packet Capture, and RSA Security

  • In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g. Nitro/McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, ArcSight, QRadar, LogLogic, Splunk)

  • Understanding of Windows based servers, Cisco switches, firewalls, and other hardware based systems and their proper configuration to meet cyber security protocols.

  • Nuclear cyber security knowledge a plus, especially regarding NEI-0809 standards
