Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Springfield, MO!

Position Overview:

We are seeking a cyber security analyst responsible for protecting our organization's computer systems and networks from cyberattacks by actively monitoring for security breaches, identifying potential threats, investigating incidents, initiating corrective measures and implementing security strategies to safeguard sensitive data and systems, often including vulnerability assessments and remediation, penetration testing, and developing security best practices to mitigate risks.

Shift Availabilities: Full-Time; Monday through Friday, possibly remote!

Cyber Security Analyst DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Threat analysis: Identify and analyze emerging cyber threats to assess potential risks to the organization.
  • Incident response: Investigate security incidents, contain breaches, and implement recovery procedures in real-time. Must be able to clearly articulate and document the key events leading up to any incident as well as all the steps taken to address/remediate the incident.
  • Vulnerability assessment and management: Conduct regular scans to identify vulnerabilities in systems and applications, prioritize remediation efforts, and implement remediation activities directly or in coordination with infrastructure services team.
  • Security policy development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of security policies and best practices.
  • Security awareness training: Develop cyber security training curriculum and training schedules by major employee role within the company. Develop the training material and coordinate with the HR team to incorporate into overall learning management system (LMS).
  • Security tool management: Manage security tools including:
  • Firewall (Cisco Meraki) security settings and logs  SIEM/IDR/VM (Rapid 7) configuration, incidents, policies, and events
  • Email/File (Microsoft Defender for O365, Cisco Secure Threat Defense, WebRoot) configuration, incidents, frameworks, and events
  • Mobile device management (ManageEngine/InTune) security policies and events
  • Compliance reporting: Perform periodic (annual, semi-annual) updates of overall cyber security program, including any incidents, new tools and//or policies, and results of cyber security awareness training corporate wide.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience, training, and certifications
  • Two to five years of experience in a security analyst or related position
  • Technical knowledge of enterprise-class technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and desktop and mobile operating systems
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft’s enterprise technology platform, including Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office365, and the Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Experience with applying application security patches across the enterprise
  • Proficiency with Windows PowerShell
  • Working experience with the following technology vendors and products: Rapid7, O365 Defender, Cisco Meraki, Manage Engine, InTune, BitLocker, and Webroot
  • Strong writing skills, as well as the ability to articulate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • Working experience with creating, implementing, and managing a threat hunting program within a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and/or enforcing security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, Cobit, and ISO
  • Be a proficient problem-solver that is able to work autonomously Desired Qualifications:
  • One or more of the following certifications: CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC
  • Experience with managing and securing both on-premise and hosted systems and applications
  • Experience with application and database security
