Lead Security Operations Engineer

As a Lead Security Operations Engineer, your work will influence the success of companies across the world. Members of our Technology team are experts in the field, working to evaluate and improve today’s systems while building tomorrow’s. The Lead Security Operations Engineer position is a highly technical, hands-on role that requires you to be a great team leader as well as an individual contributor. The primary responsibilities for this role will be the development, maintenance, and enforcement of security for the products, technology, and processes in order to adequately protect Aera assets and customer data.

Responsibilities

• Expert on cloud security in areas of identity management, access management, policies, and network security.
• Design and implement security tools such as endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability assessment, and cloud security monitoring.
• Integrate, and automate services and operational tasks by consuming and building APIs, tools, and frameworks that enforce security policies across the entire Aera organization.
• Develop and lead training across our US, EU, and Asia offices on common security pitfalls, like phishing, social engineering, and general security awareness.
• Lead the incident response team through building IR runbooks and managing the effectiveness of the program
• Monitor and improve our vulnerability management program.
• Report on risk and program effectiveness across vulnerability management, IR, and security across both cloud and IT resources.

About You

• 10+ years in a security operations role where 24/7 monitoring, and incident response was critical to keep systems operational.
• 5+ years of proven track record of building, securing, and automating enterprise-scale infrastructure and systems.
• Experience with vulnerability management across enterprise systems in both cloud services and corporate environments.
• Experience with incident response, either in-house or through an outsourced service provider's ability to partner, closely with cross-functional internal stakeholders like IT, compliance, HR, and legal teams
• Strong experience securing Cloud systems across AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with scripting languages
