Job Description

Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply. 

So, we’re building a new one.

And, we need a Security Engineer to join our mission and help us build a global platform that’s scalable, reliable and secure. We’re working on lots of exciting challenges, and you’ll dive right into projects helping consumers and businesses receive and send money from anywhere in the world.

About the role 

You will be responsible for building security focused technical solutions with high regards to code quality, architecture applicability, performance, reliability and adherence to company-wide engineering standards. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, responding to, and managing security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our organization's information systems.

How we work

We work in an agile fashion, with engineers closely collaborating with other platform teams. Team operates from Tallinn, London and Austin offices.
 

What will you be working on?

You will be part of an autonomous team, driving the technical solutions for detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response and threat intelligence. You will help us scale-up and build a world class SOC.

Qualifications

A bit about you: 

  • You have experience working with large scale distributed systems

  • You have experience with Windows, MacOs and Linux, with deeper knowledge of at least one of them

  • You have experience with Elastic 

  • You have experience with EDR, SIEM, WAF, cloud infrastructure

  • Comfortable working on big challenges and taking full ownership of the problem

  • A passion for learning and investigating problems to root cause

  • You enjoy threat hunting and digging in data

  • You enjoy collaborating with others and bringing people together to solve a problem

  • You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback

  • You are happy to participate in on-call rotations

Nice to have: 

  • Experience working with Python, Go, asynchronous message queues and have worked with microservices architecture

  • You have experience in designing, deploying and maintaining clean RESTful APIs

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
