IT / Cybersecurity / Cybercrime Risk Manager (ICRM)

Freedx is seeking a skilled and proactive IT / Cybersecurity / Cybercrime Risk Manager (ICRM) to join our start-up cryptocurrency exchange. The ICRM will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT and cybercrime risks that could impact our platform's security and integrity. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity in the cryptocurrency industry, a hands-on approach to implementing security measures, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular IT and cybercrime risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in our systems and processes.
- Security Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive IT security strategies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Incident Response: Lead the development and maintenance of incident response plans for cybersecurity threats and breaches.
- Security Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring of IT systems and networks for potential security threats and anomalies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards in the cryptocurrency industry.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness programs for employees to foster a security-conscious culture.
- Vendor Management: Assess and manage cybersecurity risks associated with third-party vendors and partners.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools to enhance the company's cybersecurity posture.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive IT and cybercrime risk reports to Risk Committees and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT security or cybercrime risk management, preferably in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency-specific security challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
